I have been developing a digital mapping application for some years using a proprietary OCX that I would now like to replace. I am looking at the Avax Vector OCX (or the .NET version) as a candidate.
Geographic maps consist mainly of polylines and polygons. Map editing usually requires "node-dragging" to alter the course of a line or boundary; that is, independently moving a line vertex. Geographic polygons generally have a solid or hatched fill and the fill needs to adjust to fit the new perimeter.
I have looked at the Avax Manual and the AvaxCAD C# sample. I cannot find any native functions that will perform node-dragging or adjust fills, and it would probably be quite difficult to provide these functions with external code.
Is this correct?
